Submission Rate is one a day.  If somehow you are allowed to submit more then that, all after the 1st will be declined.  Hopefully this will not happen again.  If you have a problem, or need to submit a couple more, I will try to accommodate you, but only by request.  I am asking members to become a voice and part of this club and help me make it a popular club.  No flames, no trolls, play nice.  

WARNINGSome Non Mature folders may contain nudity,  Make sure your MATURE FILTER is on if you are disturbed or do not want to see them!  These will be mild, as opposed to the mature content folder.

Please read Group Rules, pg 1 for changes in allowable content and other new group rules.

****GALLERY FOLDERS****

If anyone has any questions as to which folder is the proper folder, there will be more detailed information within the folder itself or you may send us a note, we will be happy to guide you.

*FEATURED:

These are pictures that I and/or the Staff have chosen to display.  No one is allowed to submit to this folder.  If you have a recommendation that is not your own but a resent submission found in our galleries, send us a note.  The pictures may be displayed for a day, or a month, we will try to showcase as many different artist as possible.

*All Landscape/Skyscape/Waterscape/Universe

Any Medium, Photograph, Painting, Pencil, Pen, Traditional, or Digital will go in this folder.  "No sketches or line art"

*Wildlife, Plants/Macro:

Any Medium, Painting, Pencil, Pen, Photograph, Traditional, or Digital of Wild life, including all non domestic animals, trees, Flowers, and Macro Photography such as a drop of water, or perhaps an insect.  

*Architecture/Cityscapes/Transportation:

All medium of buildings, interior, exterior, any setting where the building is the main focus, or any mode of transportation, including bicycles, trains, etc.

*Domestic Animals/General People/objects:

All Medium.  Pictures of any domesticated animal, Candid or posed pictures of one or more people.  Picture of an object such as a cup of coffee, a pencil, a box, a ball, you get the idea.  

*Cosplay/Sculptures&Crafts:

You make it, take a picture and put it here.  Cos-players usually make their own costume is why their pictures go here.  If the items you make are for sale, note us and we will include your name on our list of people who do commissions or sell things.

*Photo-manipulation:

Any picture that is not as it was when it came out of a camera is considered a photo-manipulation.  Any photograph that you did more then a simple gamma adjustment goes here.  "PLEASE NOTE" that all stock, resource material, credit and link to the material must be given.  If the artist is on DA, you must have his/her icon in that credit so they will be aware of your usage of their picture.  Most artist require this.  If the art is not on DA, give a link to the piece where it came from if we choose we can verify it, which we have been doing.  If it is public domain, see our fan art requirements on what is public domain.  Just because an artist is dead, does not mean it is public domain.  Most of you already do this.  And lastly, if the artist is not of DA and you can't post their icon, then you must state flat out, that you have permission from the said artist.  If it comes back that you did not, and we have to pull it, we will also pull your group membership and invite someone else.

*Manga/Anime style:

Any medium that uses the Japanese Manga/Anime style will go here as long as it is your own work, not fan art.

*OC's/Comics/Cartoons/Non Realistic Characters:

Any Medium, traditional, or digital that has exaggerated features will go here, or comic strips will go here.  You draw a friend and it does not look realistic, it goes here.  "NO Manga or Anime"

*Fan Art:

This is a source of great controversy.  Many of you will not agree with our decision. I am sorry if you do not. Our goal is to inspire artists, but that also includes protecting artists.  So below is a link to our guide lines on what an artist must do in order for a fan art picture to be accepted.  Please read it, for if you don't adhere to the guidelines set forth by this group, we will decline it. Too much has transpired with stolen art from Japanese sites, game copyright infringements as well as our own artists work being used without consent. So please read. Most of you already do adhere to what we require.

*Fractal+Animation/Abstract:

All Fractals including Fractal animations, and abstracts go here.  

*Anthro/Kemonomini: Human Intelligence

May contain nude images
All creatures that are considered to have human intelligence, either partial or full animal features will go here.  This also can include 3D anthro.

*3D art and 3D animations:

Any character, creature, object, or scene that was created using a 3D program goes here. If you use a graphic program to change the characteristic of the 3d picture, then it will not go here.  Adding background, textures, highlights, or special effects as part of a 3D world, it will go here.  If you wish to share your 3D object, please add that to your description, it would be appreciated.

*Portraits(Realistic)/Strong human Character Studies:

Any Medium of a realistic portrait of a person, be it a friend, stranger, celebrity, it goes here.  Any picture of a person that is dramatically lit, or dynamic, such as a cultural image, goes here.  All images in this folder, must look realistic.

*Holiday Seasons:

Any Medium: Any picture that shows the festive side of the holiday as seen through a child's eye.  This includes all holidays such as Chinese New year, Thanksgiving, Christmas, All Hallows Eve, and so forth, will go here.  Please do not include strong religious icons. Please lets keep this folder festive.   "See folder for what will not go here"

*Fantasy/Science Fiction:

(May contain Mature images)
Any Medium: Any creature of Mythology, RPG/OC, Steam Punk, Outer Space, Inner-space, They go here. Images that contain partial nudity such as mermaids, fairies, as well as images of chain-mail bikinis go here, but they must have a mature filter.
If the whole focus of the picture is the nudity, then please put it in the "Nude Adult" folder.  Remember all images with the mature filter, may or may not receive a comment.-

*Literature only:

All written material that is not adult oriented will go here, whether fiction or nonfiction, be it poetry, or stories.  Be warned, if any of the literature names a real person, and in any way degrades that person, race, sex or nationality, the work will be declined.  Should it make it into the gallery, it will be deleted immediately.  All sexual orientated material must have a filter and must go to the "Nudes(male or female)/Mature themed" folder.
 **Please note, while we will make every effort to read your literature, stories longer then a page becomes very time consuming when we are trying to do a number of submissions, so I will not promise that we can read it all.  

*Dark Horror/Macabre:

Pictures of blood, gore, scary pictures.  If the staff feels that the piece is not suited for young eyes, we will ask you to put a mature filter on it.  DA does require any picture involving violence to have that filter.  So please think of our young people.

*Quality Sketches and Line art:

SharpenedEdge no longer accepts simple sketches.  If it is not what is considered line art, such as tattoo, intricate patterns, then it must contain a reasonable amount of shading.  You may not be the best artist in the world, but we want to see you put forth some effort to create your picture.  We will judge it by your gallery.  A simple doodle will not be accepted. Like I said, it will be judged by the work in your gallery.  If it measures up with the rest, then that is all we ask.

*Visual Literature/Greeting Cards:

If your image contains a poem, or any kind of sentiment, or even a simple greeting as well a story, then your art goes here.  If your description is a poem or story illustrated by your image, then it goes here.  All non holiday greeting cards go here.

*Stock, Resources, Tutorials, Advertising

All free stock, need to pay for material, or an ad campaign advertising your personal work, will go here. We no longer accept web pages you designed.

*2D animations, and Collages:

Any animated gif, flip book, flash, or any other type of animation of any medium that is not a fractal or 3D will go here.  Also any work that is considered a Collage will go here.  No SCREEN SHOTS, or copies of videos, games, or movies is permitted.  This must be your work.  For those who use stock pictures, open source pictures, or pictures of dead artists, please see our journal on what you need to display for your work to be accepted.  We have had a lot of controversy so we have set down our acceptable guidelines.  If you don't like them, or accept them, them I am sorry.  This is for your protection as well as ours.  Doing image searches, contacting owners of the art you use, or searching for the date they died, is actually a lot of work.

***Artistic Nude (female), semi-nude, & Non-Nude Female character studies:

Only high quality images will go in this folder, and only images that the founder feels treats women with respect will be allowed in this folder.  All nudity, or semi nudity, or images that show genitalia or nipple impressions, must contain a mature filter.  Any image that seems to focus more on the sexual orientation instead of the artistic point of view will be moved to the "Nude/Mature Themed" folder.  Remember this is for high quality images only.  Work in this folder must contain a mature filter.

*Nudes(male or female)/Mature Themed:

Be careful, this is not a pornographic folder. A picture of two lovers embracing would go here, a water color nude would go here, a nude sketch would go here. Just remember that a "tits and ass" picture will not be accepted. If your going to draw her naked, make it proportional, no exaggeration. If your going to draw their genitilia, no erections and NO duel sex pictures.  All work that contains partial nudity or sexual overture, must have a Mature filter.   (Work submitted to this folder may or may not receive a comment). If your work is "Mature Fan Art," see the requirements of our acceptance of fan based art.  We will no longer accept work which the staff feels is disgusting, or degrading and WE FEEL has no artistic value!!

*Religious Material:

All work based on a religion or believed to be religious in nature would go here.  Buddism, Atheism, Christian, or any other such beliefs. will go in this folder.  Work in this folder require a mature filter.

*Ideologically sensitive:

All material, other than religon, that is considered controversial, including pictures of war, hunger, etc, will go in this folder.  Pictures in this folder require a mature filter.
